Live Through

Live Through is a Yami no Matsuei/Descendants of Darkness doujinshi, based on the first
of a trilogy of fanfics written by Kouri Arashi. Credit for the writing/story idea goes to Kouri;
I just draw the scenery.

Also, you should be warned of the Evil Spoiler Beast!, since this is a post-Kyoto story.
And be careful not to trip over the angst. ^_^ Thank you.

Notes this week:

Welcome to this crazy little project! ^_^

I must admit, I was really wondering how the heck I was going to pull off the
prologue, since it's entirely Hisoka pondering some stuff and generally doing a
"story so far" kind of thing. The result was a lot of pictures based on existing
scenes, and a lot of text crammed onto some pages. But the entire story doesn't
go like that, so if you find it weird, it'll become more like a normal comic at the start
of Chapter 1.

The prologue offered some great opportunities -- I learned how to draw six characters
I'd never attempted before from page seven alone ^^; -- and it helped me get used to
this. The text I use changes occasionally, since I was trying to figure out the best
one to use, and the coloring style also changes. For the sake of time though, I think
the rest of the doujinshi will be mostly lineart, with minimal coloring. As for updates,
as I mention later down the page, I'm pretty sure I'll be updating on Fridays. The next
few weeks will be an experiment with that. ^_^

Where?
Well, you're lookin' at the doujinshi right here, but the original fic and its sequels

Who?
Drawn by Kelly Barrie (tis me); originally a fanfic by Kouri.

When?
I don't have an official update schedule yet -- I'm thinking I'll try to update once a week,
with anywhere from one to three pages. FRIDAY is the tentative Update Day -- it'll probably
be a while before I get rolling with this anyway, so you wouldn't be missing anything
in the meantime while I lack a solid schedule.

Why?
I . . . I don't know. I like drawing comics, I like Yami no Matsuei, I like angst, and Live Through
made me cry like a little girl at times. I suppose it was only a matter of time. Plus, y'know,
I can always use more things to distract me from the stuff I'm supposed to be doing.

Yami no Matsuei?
Allow me to spread the love: Sakura Crisis has a few volumes of the manga scanlated,
Theria.net has lots and lots of translations, and the anime is distributed by Central Park
Media. It's worth a look if you're into the whole shounen-ai scene, and maybe even if
you're not. ^_^
